Surprise I’m in Seattle!

In Cailin Travels on January 31, 2012 at 4:23 pm

The other day I wrote about being a Last Minute Traveler conveniently right before I hopped on a plane for a last minute trip.

Without telling many people I decided last week to take a trip to the Pacific North West of the USA not only to visit my friends Tawny and Chris of www.CaptainAndClark.com but to also go with them to Portland, Oregon to attend the Nomading Film Festivals Winter Recess. However I didn’t tell the Noff guys that I was coming and instead I documented my trip and my surprising them the day of the festival. I was almost caught too! Check out the video HERE.

I’m now back in Seattle again, I have been to the Pike Place Market, saw the germmy gum wall, visited the Space Needle and have been eating some great mexican.

I had been hoping to visit Hawaii or Las Vegas after this trip, but it unfortunately looks like I won’t be able to make it to any other places right now and will head home shortly.

However exciting news! I am going to New York at the end of the month with Diamond PR and my friends that I went to Puerto Rico with in the summer on the Vloggers in Paradise trip! Our trip won Diamond PR a travel video blogging campaign!

“The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) will recognize the San Juan Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino with a Gold Adrian Award for Public Relations excellence for its winning entry in the 55th annual Adrian Awards, the largest and most prestigious travel marketing competition globally. ”

Its very exciting and we are all going down for the awards show and then after the awards show I am headed back to Puerto Rico to enjoy the 3 nights stay that I won at the San Juan Marriot for the online vote win that I won for my video from that same campaign!

Pretty exciting start to a new year of lots of travel!

Have you been to Seattle before? What should I see and do? Let me know your secrets! :)

  1. Nice cloudy pic of the Space Needle! Of course, every day looks like that now. I’ll have to visit the gum wall – how have I missed that so far?

    • hahaha I don’t know who to have missed it Don! apparently it’s the second most germiest place in the world next to the Blarney stone! :) Just under the Pike Market to the right past “Bistro” :)

  2. I am in Seattle right now, haven’t mad it to the gum wall…yet. But, it is definitely on the agenda!

    • To bad we didn’t get a chance to meet up! I leave in the AM but you definitely need to check out the gum wall – just don’t step in any ;)

  3. I love Seattle and can’t wait to make it back. Especially since I didn’t know about the gum wall the first time around! Have you been to the Troll and the statues of Lenin and Jimi Hendrix?

  4. Looks a bit rainy and miserable in the Market Center but you guys look like you’re having fun! Seattle looks very cool indeed!

    • Thankfully that was the only day of rain!
It was pretty awesome weather after that and we did have a great time! Thanks! :)

  5. [...] am still in Seattle a week after I first flew here. Originally I planned to either be in Hawaii or at least Las Vegas [...]
