The day has finally arrived! Candice and I are about 1hour from heading to the train station in Halifax to begin our epic Cross Canada Adventure! (WATCH OUR NEW VIDEO HERE) We start with taking the train from Halifax to Montreal (21 hours in coach oy vey) where we will stay for two nights at the lovely Omni Hotel! We are using our wicked awesome coupons that we got from the Omni in New York at last years TBEX Conference. Following Montreal we take the train to Ottawa for two nights, then we head to Kingston, Ontario on the train where we then pick up a car from HitTheRoad.ca !
We are beyond thrilled that HitTheRoad.ca was able to help make our trip happen. HitTheRoad.ca searches for people to drive other peoples cars for them. For people who need their vehicle moved from point A to point B (like Kingston, Ontario to Vancouver, BC) but don’t want to drive it themselves this is a cheap alternative to shipping their vehicle and we get a free trip out of it! (yay!) All the driver has to do is pay for food and accommodations all gas and car are paid for.
From Kingston we will drive to Toronto (to party for my 27th eeek! birthday) then continue on to Sault Ste Marie, Thunder Bay, Winnipeg, Regina, Banff, Kamloops and finally Vancouver. We are also delighted that a bunch of accommodations will be hosting us on our trip which we will be talking about in more detail as we go along, so stay tuned!
We also have some very EXCITING NEWS!!!!!!!!! What a cool idea with HitheRoad.ca, I love all these great travel companies that are popping up all over the place!
Whistler is one of my favorite places in the world and I’m sure that if I don’t take my boyfriend there soon he’s going to stop believing it’s a real place! I’m pretty sure Merlin’s Bar misses me by now

I am actually hoping to road-trip across Canada for a month next year – I’ve put out the call to friends and family to see who will join me for which parts – so winning this would be great. I’m also looking forward to reading about your travels for inspiration!!

What a wonderful offer! This would be a great way to kick-off my honeymoon.
My husband and I lived in Ontario 6 years ago … we found Sooke, BC (Vancouver Island) on the Internet, bought our house over the internet without ever stepping foot in it, loaded up the van with his powerwheelchair, the dog and two cats a la Beverly Hillbillies and drove across to our new home. It is a spectacular drive and really allows you to see our unique personalities by province. We saw moose, bear, eagles, mountain goats, prairie dogs and everything from metrosexuals to hillbillies. Unforgettable … enjoy!
sounds like a great trip! holla in Vancity yo!
